Emily Deschanel’s sister Zooey Deschanel was just a guest star on Bones. But her main job is acting in movies. Her latest movie 500 Days of Summer was just nominated for a Golden Globe Award. It’s up against some heavy-duty competition, but it was such a good movie that it just might have a chance!

Prior to this week’s holiday episode of Bones, Emily Deschanle and her sister Zooey Deschanel sat down to talk a bit about what it was like for them to work together professionally for the first time.
It was a real treat to see them both in the same episode, even though Zooey was trapped in a character that was much less likeable than I had expected. The two seem very close and seem to have a genuine affection as sisters. Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

In this clip, Emily Deschanel, who plays Temperance Brennan on Bones and her younger sister Zooey Deschanel talk about working together on this episode. It seems, they used to do little plays together for their parents as kids, but they had never worked together professionally before.
Zooey tells us that her character is Brennan’s cousin that she’s never met before and they don’t like each other very much. Zooey’s character is also a big fan of Benjamin Franklin and I’m guessing she quotes him a lot. They are cute together:

It looks like all the fun is happening on the Bones set today! We found out a few days ago that Emily Deschanel’s sister Zooey Deschanel would be a guest star for the Christmas episode of Bones. Well, they must be filming it this week because show creator Hart Hanson just sent out this fun message on Twitter.
The Deschanel sisters working it together! We may have hit our quotient for fun and amusing. They obviously adore each other.
Wow! I can’t wait for the Christmas episode!

Fans of Zooey Deschanel (Emily Deschanel’s younger sister) have been hearing that “maybe” he would be guest starring on Bones for several seasons now. But since she’s such an amazingly busy actress and singer, the plans have always fallen through in the past.

This doesn’t look like it’s a definite thing at all, but those of us who love Bones and also love Zooey Deschanel, Emily Deschanel’s younger sister, have been eagerly awaiting news of Zooey’s guest appearance on the show for quite a while now.
Finally, it looks like Emily has suggested to Michael Ausiello that Zooey might be a guest star for the holiday episode this year. If so, she’ll most likely play one of Brennan’s relatives. How cool!

We know that Emily Deschanel’s younger sister Zooey Deschanel has made several movies in the past year. She’s been in the movies Yes Man, Gigantic & 500 Days of Summer.
This cute little movie, Gigantic is now available on DVD starting tomorrow. The list retail price for it is $26.99, but Amazon is selling Gigantic for only $20.49. If you love independent films and those with the adorable Zooey Deschanel, this is one you want to be sure to get.

A couple of days ago, I told you that Emily Deschanel’s younger sister Zooey Deschanel would be on tonight’s episode of Top Chef Masters on Bravo. She’s going to have the chefs cater an event for her and the food must all be completely vegan and use no gluten or soy!! Now, that’s a real challenge!
Zooey will be a guest judge for the chefs and who knows whether or not Emily will be among her dinner guests? Here’s a sneak peek at the episode that airs tonight at 10:00 pm ET on Bravo:

Those of us who watch Top Chef Masters on Bravo saw last night that the next episode will give the master chefs the challenge of catering an event for Zooey Deschanel and her friends.
