Tonight is another new episode of Bones! Two nights in a row! How cool is that?

This is the one where Dr. Gordon Wyatt (Stephen Fry) returns and he and Sweets work together. This is the episode I’ve been waiting to see. An I still can’t get over that incredible disguise Sweets puts on to go undercover! And I know Hart Hanson and the team had fun creating ths episode. Get a load of the band’s name: Spew. How hilarious!!

THE WORLD OF DEATH METAL MUSIC STRIKES A FATAL CHORD ON “BONES” THURSDAY, APRIL 16, ON FOX

Stephen Fry Guest-Stars

When a real human skeleton is found being used as a stage prop for a death metal band in Norway, authorities determine the victim was an American citizen. The Jeffersonian team tracks the skeletal remains to an underground U.S. death metal band and identifies the victim as a bassist named Mayhem from a band called Spew. As Booth and Brennan venture into the unfamiliar world of death metal music to search for the killer and a motive, they learn about their own team’s surprising musical preferences and gain new insight into Sweets’ past. Meanwhile, when Sweets asks Dr. Gordon Wyatt (guest star Stephen Fry) for input on the book he’s writing about Booth and Brennan, Dr. Wyatt lends Sweets an interesting perspective on the pair’s unique relationship in the “Mayhem on a Cross” episode of BONES airing Thursday, April 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Episode 4.21: The Cinderella In The Cardboard

Here are some photos from Bones episode 4.21, The Cinderella In The Cardboard, that will air on April 15.

The premise seems to be that a body is found between flattened cardboard at a recycling center. We don’t know yet why the title refers to “Cinderella”, but the cardboard seems pretty obvious, given the location. If you check out the fourth picture, it seems that Daisy will be back and is with Sweets, so that could be fun to see too. Don’t you like the way Booth & Brennan are looking at each other in this first photo?

Episode 4.20: Mayhem on a Cross

First of all, things are getting crazy with the episode numbers because they have been switching around the order we’ll get to see them. So even though this episode wasn’t supposed to air until alter this season, it’s going to air as ep 4.20. *sigh* FOX is so frustrating sometimes…

Anyway, the good news is that Dr. Gordon Wyatt, aka Stephen Fry will be back for this episode. Booth, Brennan & the team will go after a murderer involved somehow with a death metal band. And check out Sweets!! He’s going under cover as one of the death metal fans! I can’t believe how different he looks in that disguise!!

It is. Booth and Brennan’s first therapist will come back, though he’s contemplating a permanent leave of absence from psychiatry. He and Sweets will team up to help B&B solve a case, during which, we’ll learn some shocking things about Sweets’ past. Seems his pre-adoption life was more tragic than we were first led to believe. I just got off the conference call interview with Bones’ John Francis Daley who plays Dr. Lance Sweets on the show. What a nice man!

I was ready with your questions and the person just before me asked about Sweets’ back story, so I was able to ask three more questions of him during the call! I asked about Sweets knowing about Zack not being the killer, about the projects he has going outside of Bones and about his father being a Broadway actor.

Now comes the typing it all up part. But besides those questions, I can tell you what else to look forward to in the full interview (which will probably be posted by sometime tomorrow.)

• He commented on the fact that we’ll find out a lot more about Sweets’ back story, including the fact that he spent parts of his childhood in foster care and some of the other things that happen when someone is the child of carnival people.
• He explained quite a bit about what he’s working on outside of the show. For example, the latest with his band Dayplayer and the screenplay he’s been working on.
• He told us some of the things Sweets will be doing on the show to help Brennan learn the subtle nuances of human interaction.
• He told us how much of Sweets is like John and how much was created and very different.
• He talked about his character on Freaks & Geeks and the similarities / differences between that character and Sweets.
• He said that if Hart Hanson ever lets Sweets play the piano on the show, it would not only thrill his mother, but would be like the largest piano recital in the world.

Thanks so much for all of your wonderful questions!!! The interview was great for giving a lot of insight into the Sweets character…a lot of things we haven’t really seen before. Be sure to come back tomorrow to read the entire interview!

I will be taking part in a conference call interview on Tuesday February 3 with none other than Sweets! That is to say that John Francis Daley will be answering questions about the current season of Bones. It has worked so well in the past to have you tell me what you want me to ask that I decided to do it again.

So what do you want me to ask John? Do you want to know how it feels to join a cast after three seasons, or do you want to know things about working with the other actors? Or do you want to know about the other projects John is working on outside of Bones?

Whatever you want to know, please let me know and I’ll do my best to ask. And just like in the past, when I’m only one of the people asking the questions, I usually only get a chance to ask 1 or 2 questions, so I’ll try to choose the ones you want to know about the most. Thanks for your input!

Seems the Bones duo will be stopping by a strip club and getting a lap dance later this season. Could this be part of Brennan’s new effort to be more human? I’m hearing the brilliant scientist is interested in learning how to better connect with people. Apparently, she’ll enlist the help of Sweets to accomplish her goal.
