USA Today recently revealed a bit about how the writers’ strike has affected Bones. Here’s what Hart Hanson had to say about it:
Executive producer Hart Hanson realized how much he missed work when he arrived to restart Bones, which has an odd couple of crime-solvers, bone expert Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). “The moment I drove on the lot for the first time in three months, I got a little choked up.”
Staff and crew are excited to be be back. Hanson heard about …read more

Bones Cast Members Supporting the WGA Strike
February 6, 2008 by Lynn
Readers of Searching Bones already know that the writers strike is still underway (for the moment…we keep hoping it will end soon!) Today, one of the talented writers for Bones sent me these candid photos of Bones cast members out supporting the Writers’ Guild as they have been walking the picket lines. She was able to send photos of Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz, Michaela Conlin & Eric Millegan with the writers.
Unfortunately, she was unable to send me photos of TJ Thyne & Tamara Taylor. But she wants me to be sure to tell you how they have each been …read more
This Just In! Writers’ Strike Amazing News!!
January 30, 2008 by Lynn
Oh, Please! Say it IS so!!
Here’s what TV spoiler king, Michael Ausiello says in today’s Ask Ausiello:
Question: I hear that the strike is over! Is it true?— Danouk
Ausiello: Nothing’s official, but the buzz is that a tentative agreement has been reached, with an announcement coming as early as tomorrow. But it’s hard to tell what’s solid intel and what’s just spin. To wit: In the past 24 hours, one source close to the negotiations insisted that talk of a resolution was way premature. “There’s no deal,” maintained my spy. “That’s just misinformation put out by the AMPTP to pressure the …read more
The Globes Ceremony is Cancelled, Only a Press Conference Will Occur
Well, we’ve been expecting the news and finally, it’s official. NBC has cancelled the televised Golden Globes ceremony scheduled to air this Sunday. Instead, there will be a live press conference to announce the winners during the same time slot on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
Hopefully, this will make everyone see that they need to get back to the table to work out an agreement. The writers deserve what they are asking for.
This is the statement from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association:
“We are all very disappointed that our traditional awards ceremony will not take place this year and …read more
Actors May Boycott the Golden Globes
January 6, 2008 by Lynn
The Writers’ Guild strike has not only affected production of our scripted shows, but now it will affect the award shows. The Screen Actors Guild has been working to get the actors to support the Writers’ Guild strike by not showing up for the Golden Globe Awards ceremony.
After canvassing nominees over the past several weeks, Screen Actors Guild President Alan Rosenberg said in a statement, “there appears to be unanimous agreement that these actors will not cross” the picket lines to present or accept an award.
Since the Golden Globe Awards are set to air on NBC on January 13, …read more
Horrible News for Bones Fans!!!
January 5, 2008 by Lynn
Please don’t hate me for telling you this news, I’m only the messenger.
According to Michael Ausiello, no new episodes of Bones will air until May sweeps week. That means we have several months to wait for new Bones eps!! He tells us that it looks like FOX is expecting a very long strike. *sigh* (Can’t they just pay the writers what they’re worth!!??)
Anyway, it looks like the final pre-strike episodes will air along with the unaired episode of the school shooting from last season for the May sweeps period that will begin April 28.
Like I said, tis is …read more

There are days when we get confirmation that what we are doing is making a difference. Those days more than make up for all the others that may be more frustrating.
