I know. I hadn’t ever heard of an EWwy Award either. But it’s a new one given by Entertainment Weekly, thus the EWwy.
They know that many of us feel that our favorite actors have done amazing work on their shows for many years, but have never been given an Emmy. They fell it’s time to acknowledge them with an EWwy instead.
There are lots of nominations, but the reason I’m posting this about it is that (finally!) David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, who have brilliantly played Booth & Brennan on Bones …read more
Bones Gets One Emmy Nomination…But Not One We Petitioned For
July 16, 2009 by Lynn
Today, the announcements were made for the nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards. Even though Bones fans have made their wishes known for Emily Deschanel & David Boreanaz to be nominated for Emmys, they were left out again this year. And why has the show never been nominated? I just don’t get it…
Oh, well… This year, the usual suspects got a lot of Emmy attention. But we have to wait for the Emmy Awards Show to air on CBS on September 20 to find out who wins. Here’s the one nomination Bones did receive:

Does Bones Deserve an Emmy Award?

There’s a petition on the web that’s trying to gain support for the idea of Bones winning an Emmy Award. Or, short of that, perhaps the idea of David Boreanaz and/or Emily Deschanel winning an Emmy is a great idea too.
So what do you think about it? Would you be willing to sign an online petition in support of the idea?
Hart Hanson, executive producer and creator of Bones, says this about the Emmy neglect:
“I think the reason why we don’t get recognized is because we don’t take ourselves too seriously,” Hanson says. “We’re a ‘crimedy’ …read more
Emily Deschanel at the Genesis Awards
April 15, 2009 by Lynn
Emily Deschanel supports many wonderful charitable causes and among her favorites seem to be any that deal with protecting animals. So it’s no big surprise that she was at the Genesis Awards ceremony recently, especially since Bones was nominated for one of the awards. For some insane reason, the episode about the dog fighting was nominated this year, but didn’t win. Crazy, I know.
Anyway, Emily looked amazing in this pumpkin-colored dress!!! I could never get away with wearing that color but it looks great on her!!

Bones Nominated for Genesis Award
Bones has been nominated again this year for a Genesis Award. The Genesis Awards are given each your by the Humane Society to various shows, movies and articles that promote humane treatment of animals. Bones has been nominated and has won Genesis Awards in the past.
It’s no surprise to me that the episode, The Finger in the Nest, which involved the team uncovering a dog fighting ring and which also guest starred The Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan, is the episode that is nominated. If this episode doesn’t win, I’ll be very surprised. Here are the nominees in their category this …read more

Hopefully, this will make everyone see that they need to get back to the table to work out an agreement. The writers deserve what they are asking for.
