January 22, 2010 by Lynn
The next new episode of Bones, The Devil in the Details, will have Josh Malina as a guest star. When Booth & Brennan investigate their case, they meet the character Dr. Copeland. But show creator Hart Hanson recently told Korbi at Zap2It that Josh may be a recurring character on the series.
He also gave some spoilers about which of the guest stars we’ve seen on Bones will return later this season and he even gives us a bit of information about the episode Kathy Reichs is writing.
It’s a rather long and very interesting interview, but here’s a short excerpt. You’ll …read more

I just love it that Hart Hanson, the creator & executive producer for Bones, is so active on Twitter! For example, here’s a little juicy bit of info for fans of Kathy Reichs, the forensic anthropologist whose books were the inspiration for the show. Hart Tweeted:
Just came from the writer’s room where Kathy Reichs pitched her episode. You will never look at bread without suspicion, ever again.
I’ll let you know what I find out as the details become clearer…

Pre-Order Kathy Reichs’ Newest Book!
The show Bones is based loosely on the series of books about a forensic anthropologist named Temperance Brennan that are written by author Kathy Reichs. The wonderful news is that she publishes a new book about once each year. And even better, they usually come out during the time that the show is in between seasons. So she helps us get through the break!
This year’s title is 206 Bones. It’s due to be released on August 25, 2009, but if we order it now, it will ship the day it is released. I love her books and have already …read more
Kathy Reichs Will Help Fight Osteoporosis
[Photo: Zuma Press]
Kathy Reichs, the author whose books about a forensic anthropologist named Temperance Brennan were the inspiration for Hart Hanson’s TV series Bones, is a very busy lady. She writes mystery novels, consults for the television show Bones, works with the medical examiner in Montreal on real-life crimes and now spearheads the fight against osteoporosis. She’s the new spokesperson for the campaign against post-menopausal osteoporosis called Know My Bones.
She recently did an interview about with Mark Price of the Charlotte Observer. Here’s an excerpt:
Q. Ratings for “Bones” are consistently up. Do you keep track?
Reichs: Yes, I do and …read more
Emily Deschanel Interview With Japan Today
August 17, 2008 by Lynn
Many thanks to Joe for letting me know about this interview Emily Deschanel did for Japan Today to promote Bones in Japan. Apparently, she was in Japan recently to talk about Bones because they will just be seeing season 3 begin in October. (How sad that they have to wait so long!!)
Anyway, she talked a bit about the similarities (or lack thereof) between Kathy Reichs’ version of Temperance Brennan and Hart Hanson’s version. And my favorite quote from the piece is this:
In a television market that’s flooded with police procedurals and crime dramas, Deschanel believes that focus on relationships and …read more
Exclusive Interview With Bones Writing Team (Part 2)
August 11, 2008 by Lynn
Searching Bones: I have a very important question to ask from one of my favorite Searching Bones readers. Her name is Annie and she lives in Sweden and she often sends me tips and messages. She’s also deaf. She asks about the possibility of including more deaf, blind or otherwise disabled people in the show in the future. Do you think there might be a possibility of that?
Answer: We think that’s a very good question and it’s something that we will talk about. We’ll have to see, but we might have some opportunities for that.
Searching Bones: could you explain just …read more
Exclusive Interview With Bones Writing Team (Part 1)
August 11, 2008 by Lynn
On Friday, I was honored with an exclusive interview with the writing team from Bones. They were all together in a conference room and we talked on the phone at length about their jobs writing for Bones and what it’s like working on the show. I wanted to try to keep track of exactly who was answering each question, but I didn’t want to interrupt the flow of the conversation by constantly asking who was talking. So I hope you’ll all bear with me. While typing this up, when I was sure who the speaker was, I indicated them, and …read more
Kathy Reichs’ Newest Mystery Out Soon!
June 29, 2008 by Lynn
Just because it’s the summertime and we can’t watch any new episodes of Bones for a while doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy some good reading. Kathy Reichs, on whose books the show of Bones was loosely based, has a brand new Temperance Brennan mystery coming out on August 26. It’s called Devil Bones and if it’s as good as her previous books, it’s a must-read!!
Here’s a bit of the synopsis for the book:
While working in Charlotte, N.C., Brennan investigates remains unearthed during a housing renovation and discovers disturbing clues possibly pointing to voodoo or Santeria. She must determine if …read more
Hart Hanson: The Rest of the Interview
May 26, 2008 by Lynn
The other day, I posted part of the conference call interview with Hart Hanson, creator of Bones, but I am just now getting the chance to post the rest. I apologize for the dealy. Some of your questions are answered in Hart’s dialog here, such as the season 4 premiere date and whether the Gravedigger will return in season 4. Check it out:
Question: So another year, another FOX schedule, another Bones is moving to Friday joke?
H. Hanson: Yes, I hope it is another Bones is being moved to Friday joke. I’m cranky about it on a whole bunch …read more
