What is Game Theory?

Game Theory is the method that Zack suggests for understanding Epps’ moves in "The Blonde in the Game". It recurrs throughout the episode.
So, what is Game Theory?

Game theory is a hybrid branch of applied mathematics and economics that studies strategic situations where players choose different actions in an attempt to maximize their returns. – From wikipedia
