Considering Temperance Brennan is an anthropologist, maybe some of you would like to know what an anthropologist is, besides someone who simply looks at bones.
Well, the best thing to start with is a definition (Wikipedia):
Anthropology (from the Greek word άνθρωπος, "human" or "person") consists of the study of humanity (see genus Homo). It is holistic in two senses: it is concerned with all humans at all times and with all dimensions of humanity. Anthropology is traditionally distinguished from other disciplines by its emphasis on cultural relativity, in-depth examination of context, and cross-cultural comparisons.

Helping viewers understand science

Bones is one of three great new shows applauded for teaching people about science. Along with House and Numb3rs, Bones is helping to educate as well as to entertain – by showing us characters who are ambitious, curious, and incredibly smart challenging problems even they find difficult.
According to the National Post, these three shows put science on a pedestal and shows us that solving problems is as much about the science as it is the curiosity to find the answer. And, this curiosity is why we find the shows so appealing.

Who is Kathy Reichs?
Kathy is a forensic anthropologist and mystery novel writer who works in both the US and Canada – and is the producer of Bones. Why? Because the show is based upon her books!
Are the books and the show the same?
Yes and no. Although the two series are similar in nature, they do not tie into each other.

High School Students Get Surprising Forensic Lesson
This story is creepy! A high school forensic class found a real body at a fake crime scene.
On another note, I wonder if enrolment increased in forensic and anthropology classes with the first season of the hit Fox TV show Bones?
