I was out doing my homework on the actors from Bones to see what they were all up to outside of the show. And imagine my surprise when I found out that Emily Deschanel is in a movie that just opened this past weekend.

I’ve seen a lot of promotion for the movie, but I know that I would just be a blubbering fool if I went to see it. It looks like a total tear-jerker.

Oh, no, not in a bad way. David Boreanaz was just walking along the street in Hollywood recently when a bicycle policeman stopped him and asked for his autograph.

Someone like David probably can’t go anywhere without bein asked for an autograph or a photo. In a way, it must be a real pain and in a way, it must be very flattering. He looks like he took this in stride and was very friendly about the whole thing.

David Boreanaz has been busy outside of Bones too. Here are the movies he’s been working on:

The movie Our Lady of Victory that he filmed last year will be released later this year. It’s about a high school coach.

And there’s another movie that he’s rumored to be in that’s based on a marvel comic called Sub-Mariner. He does really well playing fantasy characters so it should be a good one for him too.

I found some wonderful photos of Bones star Emily Deschanel and her boyfriend in Monaco. Apparently, he went with her and they enjoyed the sights before the Monte Carlo TV Festival began.

The scenery is lovely and it looks like they had an amazing time exploring. I especially love the photo where he’s carrying her bag for her and the one where they are holding hands. They look happy together, don’t you think?

Since Bones is between prduction periods, it’s a great time to take a look at what the stars of the show have been up to outside of Bones. TJ Tyne, who plays Hodgins, has been working on several movies. Here’s what he has in store for us:

The Last Full Measure also stars Laurence Fishburne, Brice Willis, Morgan Freeman and Robert Duvall. Wow! those are some heavy hitters! That will probably be a big movie next year. I’ll keep you posted.

The Pardon is a lower budget film, but TJ has one of the two starring roles. As soon as I hear anything about release dates, I’ll let you know.

TJ will also produce and star in a low budget film about a man who experiences life out of order. The movie will be called Shuffle and sounds a tiny bit like Memento, but it’s a great premise and I really look forward to this one!!

Bones star Emily Deschanel’s sister Zooey Deschanel stars in a new movie entitled 500 Days of Summer. So the lucky photographers were able to take photos of the two of them together at on the red carpet at the movie’s premiere on Wednesday. The event was held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

Every time I see photos of these two beautiful women together, I’m just blown away by how much they look alike. I love the dresses they are both wearing in these photos too.

The show Bones is based loosely on the series of books about a forensic anthropologist named Temperance Brennan that are written by author Kathy Reichs. The wonderful news is that she publishes a new book about once each year. And even better, they usually come out during the time that the show is in between seasons. So she helps us get through the break!

This year’s title is 206 Bones. It’s due to be released on August 25, 2009, but if we order it now, it will ship the day it is released. I love her books and have already ordered mine. I wasn’t going to do a lot of reporting on the death of actress Farrah Fawcett today, but since Ryan O’Neal plays Tempe’s father on Bones, and since I ran across this photo, I just had to share it.

Farrah lost her battle with cancer today and this photo was taken of Ryan O’Neal as he left the hospital. He looks like he’s in shock and is horribly sad. Just seeing this photo makes me very sad too.

Bones fans are aware of Ryan O’Neal as Temperance Brennan’s father on the show. But outside of the show, he’s living a real-life drama.

O’Neal has been involved with former Charlie’s Angel star Farrah Fawcett since 1980. He says that he’s asked her to marry him many times, so many that it’s actually become a shared joke for them.

But now, Farrah is suffering from cancer and her health is declining. So this time when he asked her, she said yes. Here’s a quote from People Magazine about the engagement:

“We will, as soon as she can, say yes,” O’Neal, 68, says about his companion since 1980. “Maybe we can just nod her head,” he said, with a laugh.

“I used to ask her to marry me all the time,” O’Neal said for the interview to air Friday on 20/20. “But … it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it.”

How very sad, yet romantic…

UPDATE: Sadly, I must report that Farrah Fawcett succumbed to her cancer today in Los Angeles. My thoughts go out to Ryan O’Neal and to all the others who loved her.
