Bones: Creator Hart Hanson Prepares us for the S4 Finale

Bones‘ very cool creator and executive producer, Hart Hanson gives us his little preview of what’s to come in the season 4 finale of the show. He is such a delight to talk to on the phone and now, in this clip, you can really see what I’ve been telling you about his fun personality. I think you’ll enjoy his expressions… 
He tells us that next season, Bones will have singer Cyndi Lauper as a guest star! Wow! We already are starting to see glimpses of season 5!!
He also says that we Bones fans are very vocal about what we think and that if we don’t like this episode, we won’t be shy about telling him. (He has said to me a couple of times before that he does read this site..including comments…so we are doing our jobs, fellow fans!) Check out what he has to say about the B&B hookup:

If what’s Hart have in mind it’s what I think, than I’ll gonna like it. But I don’t about others fans, of course. About B&B, I think they should be together, and this don’t mean this is the end of the show because of that. This tension between the 2 of then, can’t last that much, I’ve alredy seen this tension for four years, it can turn in something diferent, yet interesting to the fans. I really believe in that.

Okay, i don;t want to sound too spoiler-y, but I saw two finale spoiler clips on fanpop.com. OMG, it MUST be a dream. In one of the clips, she was actually helping him with his tie and they KISSED. In the other, he called her Honey, and their arms were locked. aaah, I don’t know how i am supposed to feel about this.
P.S. They’re both suspects, you know, B&B. And the others, Sweets and Hodgins and all, are trying to help them. Booth and Brennan look all too… HOOKED UP already. I don’t like it. IT MUST BE something that isn’t overall completely real. Impossible. But no, i don’t like it. I am just afraid the sexual tension might dissipate if this IS real, but I am convinced that Hart Hanson has something in mind to keep the sexual tension. I am 100% sure. Hart Hanson knows what he’s doing.
I saw those clips too! Theyre amazing!!!!! Only one more day! It comes on Wednesday in Canada…….can’t wait!

Ok, my understanding guys, is that it’s like an alternate reality episode. b&b are owners of this club called “the lab”. Sweets is a bartender. Cam is a cop? i think. B&b are already married. maybe it’s something to do with booth hallucinating during surgery but it is not real
I saw Emily on the Bonnie Hunt show and she said that Hart always says “give them what they expect in an unexpected way” If i remember correct:) But since everybody thinks it’s booth hallucinating during surgery maybe something else

Just watched it..I’ve never been more disappoitned in my life. I’ve waited this ENTIRE season for this season finale..and you’ve been all suggestive about the sex scene not being a hallucination or anything..you straight up said that..and GUESS WHAT IT ENDS UP BEING A HALLUCINATION. And once again we end a season with absolutely NOTHING being resolved or figured out. I know the tension between them is GREAT but I think fans are going to get pretty tired of this repetitive thing. And what about Bones wanting a baby? That kind of was just LEFT OUT THERE. Till next season? Are you going to start off season 5 with them getting together? Because that also doesnt make sense..but if it doesn’t happen you’re going to lose a lot of fans. I’ve been looking forward toe very Bones episode for 4 years..but this season finale had NOTHING TO DO WITH BONES. It was the characters from Bones playing a bunch of people they actually werent..maybe don’t save an alternate universe episode for the season finale..I’m so frusterated and shocked right now.

Booth has lost his memory this is so damn insane. It just reminds me of Alias season 2 major cop out.
Harts been saying all along that their relationship will change and though technically it has with him not knowing her its not what we wanted, didnt he say we would love the change this ‘unexpected way stuff’ is pure crapola after knowing its not real.
Im shattered, ive been writing my film thesis on Bones and this has just ruined it.
Damn I just hope they fix this s5.
I agree, the finale was a HUGE let down! Here I have waited and waited and I thought it was the dumbest thing I had ever seen. Then Booth wakes up from surgery and doesn’t even know who she is. I have never been so disappointed in a show in all my life! Was someone on drugs themselves when this was thought up? How do they think the fans will keep watching after this? This is how good shows get ruined, people get these crazy ideas and they actually like it. This finale gets a raspberry!!!
I disagree. The finale was amazing. If you think about it well, it was actually really smart. They keep us anticipating something. Besides, when Booth regains his memory, there will be lots of tears and hugs between him and Brennan. More suspense and sexual tension won’t hurt us.
Look at it this way. If booth and brennan hook up now, the show won’t last much. Won’t go past season 5, as a matter of fact, because we would’ve gotten what we wanted. Not a good idea. I don’t want Bones to end. Marvelous job, Mr. Hanson..
I kind of really hoped for them to hook up finally, to be honest..but at the same time I was kind of fearing it because it all came so suddenly to a close and I would rather it continue on in season 5. That I’m excited for, what I DIDNT like about this finale, is the fact it wasn’t BONES. There was about 57 minutes of this alternate reality, which ahd nothing to do with the season except for the genius little illusions to the characters..but in the end there was only 3 minutes of real “bones” and it really wasn’t enough. I think this episode would have been good as a follow up to the season finale.. but not AS the season finale. Also, the fact they wanted to “satisfy” us with having them hook up was a major let down, because it wasn’t relaly them it was just two people being a couple. I don’t want to see Mr.B and Bren hooking up..I want to see BONES and BOOTH hook up, so it kind of robbed us of “not knowing what it will be like” without it actually being that and I think it lacked all passion or intensity that the real hook up would have. I think season 5 will be great seeing as how they ended things, as long as they solve them right..but what Hart Hanson had us to expect was ALOT different from what we got and thats why it was such a big let down. The things i DID like about this episode is how if you see in the previous seasons Booth knows how to love and what love is..but Brennan still is skeptical about it and doesn’t believe in it. Booth was always ready for love but Bones always just wanted sex type thing..and that wouldn’t make for a good relationship. But in THIS season instead of it being BOOTH, Brennan starts to want to figure out love and decide if she believes in it, and in the season finale..it was obvious that she finally understands it and can realize some things. It was smart in that way, because now they are both on the same page, buttt..now Booth is a step behind with the whole “memory” thing…so that was smart and that’s what im excited for in the next season, seeing her having to deal with love and such. I still really don’t like the season finale, and it really gives us nothing to go on for 3 long months..but I also like the smartness of how it will lead up to next season. Just if they start off the season right back where we began with them not confessing it..or at least FEELING it..I’m going to go insane, this “sexual tension” has been great but its been very drawn out.
I do agree, that it has been very drawn out. And most of the show was NOT Bones, only the last few minutes. Personally, I think if they did hook up it would only intensify the romance between them. I saw it successfully done in another show I dearly loved and was on for many seasons. There’s a lot that can be done with juggling their romance, and work, and then if a baby comes that would be even more great. I guess I am tired of the dreams, and hallucinations. Why can’t we face reality? Although I think Bones does need to learn about love and I think she has by knowing Booth. She is afraid because she was abandoned by her father and then being thrown into foster care and being abused. But, hopefully the two will reconnect next season and their relationship will be even stronger because of what happened. I hope Hart Hanson doesn’t lead us down a wild goose chase. Let’s remember what Bones is and not get all wild and crazy please! It just is in the cards for these 2 lead characters to get together and they will have to at some point in time. I hope it is soon.
