A Strange Bones Spoiler

I really don’t know if this is a Bones spoiler or strictly in the realm of theory. But to play it safe, I’ve given you the heads-up on the possiblility of spoilerage. This is the latest from Michael Ausiello at EW:
Question: Any more Bones scoop? Pretty please? –Charlee Ann
Ausiello: Since it doesn’t look like Brennan and Booth will be having real sex anytime soon, how about Brennan and her bisexual BFF Angela? “We’ve never discussed that but I wouldn’t put it past [producers],” says Emily Deschanel with a chuckle. “I feel like Brennan’s the type of character that if she had feelings for a woman she wouldn’t question that and she’d go for it. But it would be kind of complicated with her best friend.”
Bones Fans, I’m Asking You For a Huge Favor…
May 29, 2009 by Lynn
Searching Bones readers, I’m asking you for a giant favor. I also write about reality TV shows on my other blog, Reality Exploits and I was lucky enough to be invited by NBC to compete in a contest in conjunction with their new reality series, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! I need your vote!
Voting is easy! It only takes a couple of seconds. I promise! Here’s how:
- Click on this link.
- Click where it says “VOTE”
- That’s it! You’re finished!
If I get chosen as the winner, they will fly me to Costa Rica to blog behind the scenes for the show for 5 days. As a special incentive for all of you, if I do get to go, I promise to do a couple of the gross-out challenges on video for you. You want to see that, don’t you?
As always, I appreciate your support. Thanks so much!!
Kathy Reichs Will Help Fight Osteoporosis

Kathy Reichs, the author whose books about a forensic anthropologist named Temperance Brennan were the inspiration for Hart Hanson’s TV series Bones, is a very busy lady. She writes mystery novels, consults for the television show Bones, works with the medical examiner in Montreal on real-life crimes and now spearheads the fight against osteoporosis. She’s the new spokesperson for the campaign against post-menopausal osteoporosis called Know My Bones.
She recently did an interview about with Mark Price of the Charlotte Observer. Here’s an excerpt:
Q. Ratings for “Bones” are consistently up. Do you keep track?
Reichs: Yes, I do and you’re right, the ratings are increasing steadily. We’re now the second highest scripted drama on Fox, behind “House.” We are absolutely getting better, and I think Emily (Deschanel) and David (Boreanaz) are a wonderful pair.… We’ve blended a number of things that make the show unique. We have a dark subject matter, but we have humor, and the chemistry of the ensemble works beautifully.
Q. How did you become involved with Know My Bones?
Reichs: I think it’s a natural link for me. I’ve worked with bones all my life. I’ve studied them and come to appreciate them. You can tell a lot about a person by their bones, the story of their life.… In today’s economy, where it’s important for women to work longer than they might have hoped, it’s important for them to stay healthy.
Q. Planning to do any acting in season five of “Bones”?
Reichs: I’ll probably do one next year. I’ll write a script myself and the executive producers have suggested I write a little part for myself. I was reluctant to do it, but I really had a good time when I was on the show before. They may have created a monster.
More Photos of David Boreanaz & Emily Deschanel at Fox Upfronts
May 25, 2009 by Lynn
FOX has put a few photos from their Upfronts presentation last week on their web site. Several of them are of Bones stars David Boreanaz & Emily Deschanel. There is, of course, the usual posed shot with the studio execs, and a couple of them that you might also enjoy.
The REALLY great news for fans of Bones is that it’s been renewed for at least two more seasons. So we already know that there will be a 5th & a 6th season…and possibly more after that. Great news!!

Emily Deschanel & David Boreanaz at Fox UpFront Post-Presentation
May 21, 2009 by Lynn
Here are some photos of Emily Deschanel & David Boreanaz that were taken at a post-presentation event for FOX Upfront. The event was held at Wollman Rink in New York City’s Central Park. For some reason, even though both the Upfront and the post-presentation events were held on the same day, Emily changed her outfit. I think I liked the blue dress just a bit better than this one, but she is beautiful in either.
David, of course, had to show off his cool socks…they’re his trademark!

May 21, 2009 by Lynn
Bones fans, I apologize for being so late reporting this, but I had a computer meltdown and just got back up and running. Technolgy…wonderful, when it works…
These photos were taken of Bones stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz as they arrived at the FOX UpFront presentation on Monday. It was held in New York City at Seppis.
David looks to be in great spirits and Emily looks lovely, as always. They were there to promote the FIFTH season of Bones. (Yes, it’s official. There will be a fifth season!!) Hurray!

Hart Hanson Says There Needs to be Dancing
May 15, 2009 by Lynn

Everyone has their own opinion of the season 4 finale of Bones. Some loved it, others not.
But I really like what the show’s creator and executive producer, Hart Hanson had to say on Twitter just now:
Appreciate ALL opinions. The BONES audience ain’t no pushovers. But I will say, there has to be dancing, not just falling in love.
What a great quote!! And yes, we have been seeing the dance between Both & Brennan now for a while…but they are making their way toward slow dancing, not just hip-hop. I agree, even on TV, the romance is wonderful!
Keep up the great work Hart! I’m on your side!

What Did You Think Of the Bones Season Finale?
May 15, 2009 by Lynn

The season 4 finale of Bones certainly wasn’t what I expected, how about you? I knew there would be a “twist” but even the twist is confusing, I guess. After reading through everyone’s comments so far, it seems that there’s not even a clear agreement among everyone about what the episode was about.
Was the entire thing a story that Brennan was writing to occupy herself while she waited for Booth to wake up? Was the whole thing a dream that Booth had while in the coma?
If it’s Brennan’s story, then it must mean that she realizes that she and Booth should be together. (And they were really cute together, weren’t they?)
If it’s Booth’s dream, wouldn’t he remember Brennan when he woke up? And if he did have amnesia from the brain surgery, how long will it last? Will his memory return, or will he have to make all new memories of who everyone is?
Since Hart Hanson and the cast all say that it “wasn’t a dream or hallucination,” to me, that means that it must have been the story Brennan was writing. Otherwise, it would be Booth’s dream. So technically, they were right, even if they were all very sneaky about it.
Did you enjoy the way all the characters were different? How did you like it that we got to see all the interns and the other cast members in the same episode…especially Zack?!
Here are my own personal thoughts. I know you may not agree, but that’s the beauty of things. We can all have different opinions and still love the same show. Personally, I hate alternate reality episodes and I don’t like “clip shows” either. Just give me real episodes. The others seem like cheater episodes to me…sorry, Hart!! You are terrific! This is just my own humble opinion.
But given that it was an alternate reality episode, I think Hart did a great job of writing it. And I loved Mötley Crüe!!! They were awesome.
I’m not totally upset about the B&B hookup being what it was (or wasn’t) since the discussion of the baby happened before any of that. So I expect that after Booth struggles to remember everyone and everything, the baby will still be a topic on the table. And we still have the sexual tension between the characters and the anticipation of them really getting together. So that’s not bad either. I just wasn’t such a fan of the alternate reality. I found it not as interesting as if the characters were themselves. But, again, that’s just me.
As for John Francis Daley’s band Dayplayer, aka Gormagon, was great and their MySpace site is here and you can clips of both of the songs they sang on the show here:
and here:
Now I want to hear what you think about the episode. And what do you expect to happen next season (Hey, let’s all be excited that there WILL BE a next season!!) Leave a comment and let us know what you think!
Bones: Episode 4.26 – “The End in the Beginning” Gormagon Clip!

Episode 4.26: The End in the Beginning
Airdate: May 14, 2009
This is a very fun clip that’s made to look like a promotional clip for a real band entitled Gormagon.
In it, we see that Mötley Crüe is “some kind of Swedish band” and will be the opening act for Gormagon. LOL! I’m amazed at how well John Francis Daley can sing, but also I love the humor in this clip:

Episode 4.26: The End in the Beginning
Airdate: May 14, 2009
There’s been a ton of buzz about this Bones season 4 finale. We know it’s the episode where Booth & Brennan end up in bed together. We also know that there will be some crazy reason for the lab to become “The Lab”, a nightclub with rock bands performing. And we know that nearly all the past cast members will be back for the episode. (I still want to see Eric Millegan return to play Zack as a regular in season 5…are you listening, Mr. Hanson?)
All in all, it should be a very spectacular episode! Here’s a run-down of all the spoilers we have for this episode. I can’t wait!!
