Bones: Could It Be True?

I can assure you that there’s no possible way that Booth is really dead. After all, we already know he’ll be going to England with Brennan in the two-part season opener for the fourth season. But what could this possibly mean?

Have I already mentioned how much I would love for Sweets to be Gormagon? That way he would leave the show for good (I can’t help it, I ADORED Stephen Fry)

Because I’m in Denmark and I can’t see it either. When I push the play button, in the middle, a note shows up saying, that it can’t be shown in my region. Or something worded like that.
It’s pretty darn annoying. I’d have use another word than ‘darn’, but I don’t think some people would have liked that word much.
Could it be something as simple as Brennan’s anxiety induced dream, as she waits for word on whether Booth is all right.
In the spoiler pics that have been circulating he looks very healthy. After all the buildup, I am not sure the episode is going to spend much time on his recovery. Perhaps even some time will have passed. He is well, but Brennan can’t get past the idea he was almost lost to her. And this spoiler clip is
just showing how she dealt with things. Or, even how Booth imagines Brennan behaving had he died. LOL The possibilities are endless, aren’t they!:} Bring on tomorrow night.

I agree with u Judith_BNC. This clip is probably one of Brennans dreams and I think maybe when she wakes up it’ll show her at Booths bedside in the hospital. But as ypu said the possibilities are endless. Even though I KNOW!! Booth will be okay, my heart still dropped down to my toes when I saw this clip!
His death is being faked, for reasons unknown.

I don’t think it’d be a dream. Angela and Jack are wearing the same clothes in the video that they’re wearing in the funeral pics. That’d be a pretty long, elaborate dream, changing scenes like that, for a tv show. Just my two cents.

Well, the spoiler pics certainly led me to believe that Booth didn’t fake his own death, because the team looked pretty normal and everything around Booth. But seeing this, I can’t believe it.
Okay, any House fans here? This video made my heart drop as far down as when I saw the promos for tomorrow’s episode. DX Poor Bren.

If it is a dream, I will go on record as saying: unless you are Bob Newhart, do not use dreams to mess with your audience. I agree it could be Brennan daydreaming a bit of “what if” while waiting to hear the news.
If it is a real fake funeral (oxymoron, I know), it’s possible Sweets is using it as a test situation to observe how Brennan reacts to it– an observation of their “strong emotional attachment.” I just can’t imagine NO ONE telling her he’s alive– it would require the hospital and all the squints working on a grand conspiracy that would do more harm than good to Brennan.
Of the two, I think dream/hallucination/daydream is the more likely option and the one least likely to do damage to Brennan’s interpersonal relationships.
Intriguing. Can’t wait to see how they do this tomorrow.
I dont think its a dream. It would be silly idea.
The only reason I can see for a fake funeral is to fool Gorgamon. They dont know that Gorgamon has something to do with the Jeffersonian, so they wouldn’t know that this therefore would not really work.
The first thought I had was that Sweets was experimenting with the idea of a “what-if?” scenario to trick Brennan into realizing Booth is in fact a “loved one”. And maybe he helped Booth orchestrate this fake funeral as a way of snuffing out Gormogon—while the cat’s away kinda thing. And once Gormogon breaches the impregnable fortress that is the Jeffersonian (with Zack’s help? apparently), Booth’s alive-ness is revealed to Brennan at last. And she storms into his house where he is hiding in his tub guzzling beer out of a ridiculous helmet. Gotta love the convoluted ideas at work in this show!
The simple idea of Booth in a bathtub is stopping all of my though processes. *has mental images*

I hate the dream idea - that ploy has been used too often to heighten viewer anxiety, so I hope the Bones creators aren’t going there. Maybe they’re setting up a scenario for season 4, because nothing’s happened in S3 to warrant Booth faking his death. Guess we’ll see tonight!
I am guessing it’s a hallucination that Brennan has conjured up while watching Booth get taken to the hospital. I agree with b/b4ever, she will probably be shown waking up in a waiting room or beside his hospital bed.
The whole fake funeral thing is hokey. I mean there’s no reason to do it. Not even to trick Gormagon, or to set up some scenario for them to play out via Sweets….unless maybe she goes kinda crazy after the shooting and Sweets has her play it out in her head so she won’t continue building walls around her.
Hmm…lots of possibilities. I just hope at the end of this that Jack and Angela are together and Booth/Brennan’s relationship continues to grow.
Btw, Angela is wearing her engagment ring during the clip, so I doubt they call it quits. I was impressed how great the transition was filmed between the shooting scene and her in the lab.

fan-unfriendly finale. Just phooey. I’m glad I have the summer months to forget about this lame episode.
Acting was great as always, when they let a character have more that a 1 minute scene. What a complete muddle.
