  Ohhh, I can’t wait! And how did Booth manage to recover from a GSW so quickly? He’d be in a damn lot of pain for awhile; not in any condition to run to the scene of the explosion, nor bend down like he did in photo #2. Hm.

  To be fair, Lindy, if you watch “Two Bodies in the Lab”, Booth is healed up pretty quickly from the explosion (and again in “The Killer in the Concrete” he recovers very quickly from his torture).

  For that matter, Brennan’s wrist mended with lightning speed after “The Man in the Morgue.”

  I think there is often much more than one week between any two episodes on Bones.

  And I definitely thought it was very weird that Booth healed up so nicely in the Killer in the Concrete and was able to walk normally within the next day.

  the kid in the first episode had a diamond tooth not a gold tooth and they already established that he was just a guest of the real killer because the kids teeth marks only show on the later bones and not previous bones

  I assume so. Horrible cliffhanger ending- but you knew he would live… it would kill the story if he died. I would stop watching bones if Bones or Booth were not in it.

  I think that this next episode is going to jump ahead a bit - to show the time away due to the writers’ strike. This will likely be one of Booth’s first cases back and they will mark the passage of time with a few comments upon his arrival at the lab.

  I am very excited to see this episode!!!!!
  I knew that Booth could nopt have died because him and Bones are going to London for 2 epi’s next season. When the blood gushed through Bones’ fingers, I have to say, that was very romantic!
  Emily had such an amazing Voice!!!!!! I wish I heard the rest her singing it. Stupid Pam had to interrupt it, though…
  Well, at the least the Bones sound track will be coming out in August…

  Booth did die. He was just bring back to life… you know if the hospital stuff. And even if brennan didn’t knew about booth being alive maybe he told her before his fake funeral so what we see on the pic is her not understanding why they do a fake funeral for him. At least that’s what I thought.

  and also hart hanson has said that our 2 favourite b+b stars are going to lock lips again but for real so we can all relax coz booth is going to be fine.

  I’m eagerly awaiting the finale! Wannabe wasn’t one of my favorite episodes but the last scene was amazingly played. (God David is such a good actor and can even look amazing and intense when dying.) The finale should be a good ride!

  Now, if Booth was faking his own death to cover up God knows what, he wouldn’t be allowed to enter the lab or work cases, and he does both in TPITH. I don’t know who the funeral would be for, though. Hm.You know, the part that shocked me the most (besides the last scene) was Zack singing. Strange, no? His voice is so…unique. XD

  I keep thinking its sweets too but i Love Sweets even tho all the evidence is pointing at him!!

  1= Gormagon knew Booth and Bones were setting him up when they were in the yellow taxi, who suggested the set up - Sweets!

  2= In episode 8 at around 29 minutes Hodgins and Sweets have a conversation about gormagon. Theres something sinister about the way Sweets is looking at Hodgins.

  3= As we know from The Verdict in the Story Booth and Bones dont need therapy anymore but Sweets wants to stick around with them - why? - so he knows where they are with the investigation and so he can keep one step ahead.

  P.S i REALLY hope im wrong!!

  Brennanite- No worries :) I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a spoiler site out there that I didn’t know about LOL.
  Charlotte- Heck yeah Zooey and Emily have awesome voices! Do you have Zooey’s CD? I totally bought it off itunes the day it was released.
  General- I really don’t think its Sweets. He just seems too young. He’s hardly older than the apprentice who died earlier this season, and didn’t Gormagon work with that creepy old toothless man from the retirement home? Sweets had to have been like eight the last time that guy had teeth, let alone ate anyone. Then again, you just never know…

  Hey, maybe it’s Zach who fakes a death, after the lab explosion, you know, to fool Gormagon. And that would make it his “funeral” pictured at the top. So the second pic, with the caption about Booth revealing some important news, could be him telling the rest of the squints that Zach’s really alive… Maybe? Geesh Monday really can’t get here quickly enough!!!

  When Brennan gets upset I can see her getting angry instead of showing emotions. Like if it is Booths funeral then I would imagine that Brennan would be upset for him leaving. Not to mention how she would want his funeral to be perfect. Her hand is out like she is pointing at a fact. Like “Why aint his parents here.” or “Where are all his friends.” I like the idea of Booth faking a death and Bones not knowing. Then Booth can see her feeling unfold, not to mention if I was him i would be scared of the tidal wave that she is going to blow when she finds out. N E Wayz david is so hott dying. LOL just thought i would throw that out there. :)

  Is it just me or do the two men standing behind Brennan, Angela and Hodgins look like their in uniform? I have two theories:
  1) They’re there for the protection of the squints in case Gormagon tries to come after them (not so good)…
  2) Or it’s Booth’s funeral and they’re there because Booth was an army sniper and an agent in the FBI…(more credible but still not so good!)

  …just a thought… :D

  The second pic is not Booth telling everyone that Zack is alive, because Zack is standing next to Hodgins there.It probably isnt Booth’s ‘funeral’ in the first picture, because…One, Booth’s stance in the second picture doesn’t look like he’s bracing himself for their reactions, or anything like that.Two, Brenan would have definitely been there to see him die, and he would have been in the hospital. Since you can’t stop your heart from beating, she would have undoubtedly found out. And in the second pic, Brenan is also standing in that ‘WTF?!’ stance, so I don’t think that she’s the only one who doesn’t know. Plus, Angela would definitely be all over him hugging him like crazy if he were revealing that. :P

  I am still a bit perplexed about Pam. Even if she didn’t die, Brennan would definitely be arrested for shooting her. I know that Pam was going to shoot Brennan if she hadn’t first, but still. Pam would deny that in the hopes that Brennan would be sent to jail, and an investigation would ensue. Anybody care to explain?

  this one’s got me stumped….i wanna know what happens sooo bad!!! 5 days is too long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  i don’t think Sweets is Gormagon though because why would they put his name in the opening credits if they were just going to have him caught a couple episodes later? and why would Sweets help out with the case so much? and why would Sweets send a human jaw bone to the Jeffersonian that lets the team know that Gormagon is among them which would lead the squints right to him? yeah he fits perfectly as Gormagon but the producers probably did that on purpose so we would think it was him but then there’s going to be some big twist at the end and its probably someone we never thought it would be.

  oh! i also read somewhere that there was an interview with Hart Hanson the producer of Bones and he was asked if Sweets was Gormagon and he just laughed like yeah right

  but then again i also read that Bones is looking for a new full time forensic anthropologist for some reason…so maybe one of the squints is Gormagon….gosh who knows!!!!!! i can’t wait until monday :)

  Squintsquad- I’m assuming, since Zach is injured in the explosion and we’ve already deduced that he’s in that pic, that the crime scene tape is due to the jaw bone left at the Jeffersonian. If you look at the fourth pic down, where they’re all studying the jaw, you can see crime scene tape in the foreground.

  For some reason i don’t think its booth funeral, because if it is booth’s funeral bones would’ve cried and especially the others. Plus the case of the Gormogan is getting more mysterious, and its sad that Zack is in the hospital with both of his hands are wrapped. For Booth, he does heal fast, when he gets hurt badly(1. the explosion, 2. the car accident w/ bones, and 3. getting shot) Also in season 4 of bones, a new character is gonna be there who he’s one of Dr. Brennan’s brighter grad students, and Dr. Brennen is gonna find a full time anthropologist. Does anyone know why Bones would be looking for a new full-time forensic anthropologist?

  I think I can shed some light on the Gormagon issue. I’ve seen sides from some future episodes, and there is only one character who is consistently absent.

  Obviously it’s not BRENNAN or BOOTH.
  ANGELA and HODGINS are having relationship problems, to the point where Angela talks to SWEETS.
  CAM is helping them solve a murder in an elevator a few episodes down.
  And it should be noted that they are screening new forensic anthropologists.
  The only person I could not account for….ZACH.
  I don’t like that possibility. At all. Unless, he’s out of commission because of that explosion. That could then leave us with either Caroline or Clark Edison, which, to whoever mentioned it before, was who I thought it would be as well. (When I first heard that it was someone we knew.)

  LOL…..The ending of the last episode was a dream. It didnt really happen. Booth was dreaming about Brennan cutting loose and then the reality of the perceived threat from a stalker broke into the dream. The next episode starts with her trying to wake him up, but he was not shot

He is, as Sweets described Brennan in the previous episode, ‘highly raional and capable of raionalizing anything, thus dangerous’ (I’m paraphrasing). Plus, with the spoiler that Dr. Brennan will be looking for a new full time anthropologist next season…gotta think it’s Zach.

  I have to disagree. “highly raional and capable of raionalizing anything” does not mean “unable to distinguish good from evil”. It simply means he, like Brennan, is totally able to detach & anlalyze a situation (Brennan gave evidence of it in “Soccer Mom” when she explains her discoveries regarding her father’s love for her in antropological terms).
  I stay with the “Sweets is Gormagon” hypotesis; his have been credited in the main title could semply depend on the fact that the decision was taken pre-strike: since the original plan for season 3 was to shoot 28 episodes, it would only had made sense to feature Sweets in the main title as we would have discovered the truth about him in the season finale (i.e., due to “restyiling” post-strike, next week’s episode).

  I have read somewhere that next week’s episode opens with “the funeral of a beloved character”. I assume it’s Booth’s funeral :-’( :-’( :-’(
  But I also thought that no matter how deeply rational Brennan is (& she is not made of ice: remember her face & tears while cutting Hodgin’s leg to dave his life in “Aliens in a Spaceship”?) she could not really stand at Booth’s funeral tearless. So I am guessing the funeral scene is a dream: Brennan is actually dreaming about her partner’s funeral “rationalizing” it (she looks really pissed off by something. I doubt it is about Booth dying per se, though. I am thinking somenthing more along the lines of “What the f*** is Rebecca doing here cryin when she was so mean to him when he was alive?” or “What the f*** does Cam think she is doing wearing a strapeless V-shaped dinner dress at a funeral? Is she a necrophile?” :) ]

  omg, i would be sooo happy if it turns out that the whole booth getting shot thing is just a dream. but i do kinda think that its zach. but maybe hes in trouble for something he did in Iraq. cuz he did just sorta turn up randomly. i was on this one website that showed parts of the script (even tho it could all be taken out of context), and one of hodgins’ lines was, “my best friend zach got into some big trouble and now he’s locked up, im really gonna miss him.”

  i think the only way bones would not know hes alive, ie didnt attach herself to him on route to hospital, is because she shot someone, and they have to question her, so she couldnt be at the hospital. otherwise i dont see how she could think hes dead

  hey i think that brennan finds out that booth is actually alive and she is mad at him so she “slugs” (hits) him cos she thought he was dead. booth then says that sweets didnt tell her so she should of hit him instead!!?? anyone think this could be it?? I think he was actually shot though because what would be the point in faking the shooting? x

  I am not a doctor, but it looked like the bullet hit him too high up to damage any vital organs. It could’ve missed organs and bones altogether and just gone straight through. It did not appear that he was wearing a vest though, there was blood. Again I am just guessing. I am sure glad that he lives!

  Were have you reading the script? It’s kinda scares me a bit. A fake funeral for Booth. Why? I did’nt thinl there is a hit on him. But I can see Brennan when she hits him because she didn’t know. That were so much her.
  About who his Gormagon i on’t remember where I read it put I’m pretty sure it was published that neither Sweets nor Zack is him.
  But I’m curious why Bones searches a new full-time antrophologist. Maybe Zack can’t use his hands for a long time because of the accident in the lad during the next episode?

  im pretty sure that zach gets into trouble cuz of what i saw on the script. but it probably isnt cuz hes gormagon. im kind of hoping that gormagon’s identity is a total surprise to everyone. but in a good way, not like if its booth or bones. my dad is a doctor and he said that just from what he saw on the show, the bullet hit him too high to damage a lung, but he cant be sure. and bones should slug booth for letting her think hes dead. and then she should slug sweets cuz he annoys me personally.

  ….I’m thinking that the fake funeral is Booth’s and that it’s gonna help the team solving the Gorgonzola case, cuz Gorgonzola would feel relieved knowing that the FBI agent who was after him is dead and this may lead him to do something wrong and then get caught…..it’s just a thought…
  I’m still confused about the way Brennan acts in the first pic…why does she look so angry instead of sad? I know that it would be weird to see her screamin’ desperately, but I think she should look as Angela&Hodgins do in the picture..

  i guess if the funeral is a fake one, that would explain why she doesnt look sad enough. but if they ARE trying to trick gormagon, it wont work because she doesnt look sad at all. and im pretty confident that gormagon would kno how close they were as partners.

  I think Brennan doesn’t know that Booth is still alive, in the scripts she gets mad at Sweets cuz he didn’t tell her the truth….
  maybe at the funeral she’s so sad that she can’t look sad, but if gorgonzola knows her a bit, he/she can understand her reactions and the plan might work…
  always suppositions, but we’ll get to know soon by the way :-)

  On Hulu there is a video when Brennan sais that she won’t go on Booth’s funeral. But, as I can see in the second picture, he looks fine.

  i have something here that is scaring the crap out of me but i dont know why we all konw he is in season 4
  got a clip of the first few seconds of the season finale!!! (Credit to Bones_Spoilers) Here’s what I saw:

  Brennan is examining some bones in the lab when everyone comes up and tells her it’s time to go to Booth’s funeral. Brennan doesn’t want to go, she’s acting wayyy more interested in the bones than the funeral and Sweets says ”It’s Agent Booth’s funeral, Dr Brennan, losing a loved one is..” then Brennan interrupts saying ”a partner, Sweets - I’ve lost a partner.”

  i can’t figure out why Booth would have a funeral either but it might be to trick Gormagon and thats all i can think of…but that’s probably not it

  i also read an article where Hart Hanson says “we can’t give you the context of the finale because the beginning is devastating and the end is devastating” and i think the beginning is devastating because it is Booth’s “fake” funeral and then the end is devastating because Zach gets blown up in the lab explosion which causes his hands to become crippled and he won’t be able to work anymore and thats why Bones has to find a new full time forensic anthropologist. also i bet thats why his name doesn’t appear in the cast list for season 4

  ….these are just my thoughts, but i mean it all does kind of fit together if you think about it

  The only reason I can think of for a fake funeral is to fool Gorgamon. And if Gorgomon is Gordon-Gordon like I’m now suspecting, I’m sure that if Brennan knew the funeral was a fake, G-G would be able to tell. Him being a counsellor/psychologist type and all.

  A lot of you have very valid theories about the Gormogon killer, neochick startled me with someone i never thought possible to be the killer, for some reason Gordon-Gordon doesn’t sound like the killer, slightly on the bigger build side, I don’t think that it was him who jumped out of the closet in that episode.

  Many of you are wailing over the fact that Booth MAY die. The writers will be shooting themselves in the forehead if they kill Booth, Booth brings the sarcasm to the show. Zach and Bones wouldn’t look like common senseless fools without Booth to way them down. The witty awkward conversations about religion and sex and the squints in the car will be taken away, and mainly the great partnership. Shows die when you kill the partner. Booth can not be replaced. I don’t think any of you have to worry about that.

  Finally I just want to theorize my view on Gormogon. For most of this season I have been mourning the fact that I might lose Zach or Sweets because they were the MAIN killers going around. However Sweets is to likeable and is signed on for another season! and Zach is Zach, with his 40 member family and innocence. So I pushed them aside and waited for it to happen itself. However I think I might have an idea on who it might be, I am thinking it might be Sully. Sully was an important part of Bones’s life for the first couple of seasons and then he just disappears. Nonetheless making it seem that he is on the ocean travelling the world. When he could be easily shacked up in his house, not answering his calls and doing Gormogon evil things.

  The Bones writers want it to be an ‘OH MY GOD SHOCKER!’ you know, something you would never think. What do we really KNOW about Sully? All we know about him is stemmed from Bones and Angela’s conversations and the few scenes where he showed up to make problems in the Bones/Booth storyline. I just can’t see the killer being either Zach or Sweets or any of the squints. (or Cam)

  i read that it is booths funeral and brennan doesnt know he is alive and sweets comes to get her to come and he says something like i know its hard losing a loved one but she jumps in and says partner
  so she has put her walls back up and i heard sweets gets a ear full off bones when she finds out in was ment to tell her booth alive

  thats kind of mean. but i could understand why bones would look like she did in the pics we all saw of her at the funeral, cuz shes not exactly the type to cry her eyes out in front of a room full of people. she just kind of shuts feelings and emotions out so she doesnt have to feel anything most of the time.
  but i really do want it to be a huge shock. it said that the episode starts and ends in tragedy. the tragedy part sucks, but its not as much fun if we all kno EXACTLY what happens.

  1. The reason there is crime scene tape in the lab is because there was the explosion, that is why zach is in the hospital.

  Molly, I agree. I can definatly see Brennan acting that way at the a funeral of anyone dear to her. She would just sit there analyising it, and thinking and talking about anything but the funeral.
  I do the same thing. Its a coping/denial method for me.
  Its very obvious from that short scene that the walls are up with huge defense again. At that point anyway. Hopefully by the end of the ep, they will have come crashing down again ^^

  Neochick, after reading your comment it does make a whole lot more sense. I haven’t really been refreshed on Season Three, so I lack on most of the common knowledge, where my mum doesn’t. But then that itself opens a whole other list of people Gormogon could be. Not only don’t we know who the replacement Gormonjnr but we don’t know who Gormonzilla is!

  I half agree with my mother on the fact that maybe we won’t find out whot he killer is, but will be left on a spoiler, eagerly awaiting August for the new season and the final key to the huge plot. I hope that is not the case, because seriously I can’t wait to find out who the creep is!

  hated the episode. wouldn’t even give it a 3 out of 10. felt like it was slapped together to finish off the gormogon storyline. who did it? who cares, he killed loads of people and still it was the lamest capturing ever. zack killing the guy? what? seriously? did you need to get rid of the best guy on the show so easily. no, that episode has possible lost my faith in the show. without zack what’s the point of watching it?

  I loved and hated this episode. I mean why Zack had done what he did seems to be logical. If Zack believed it was logically what he had done, than why not doing it. In the (first?) season when the homeland security woman or what’s ever asks him what he would do when sb. would tell absolutley rational and logical reasons to di sth. he would do it, propably asking his friends before, but don’t forget, his friends have very strong relationships between them (Brennan often away with Booth, Hodgins and Angela making out during lunch break…) So after Iraq he was kinda a bit alone. And Gormogon just told Zack the same what Hodgins told him over years. Even if it was really sad (every time I think about Zack, tears well up) if it had to be one of the squints, Zack was the logical choice, the others are to strong charakters with to strong bondings and to good hearts.

  it does suck, but i agree with Mary, i loved and hated it. and zach would have been the logical choice among all the squints. it just made me so sad to see him looking out at all his friends like a puppy in a pet shop. thats the part that made me really really sad. but i dont kno, maybe bones’ new grad student will fill in the hole left in our hearts where zach used to be…

  I hope that the whole episode was just a dream that Booth was having while in the operating room. A few things didn’t seem right in the episode for example booth should have had the American flag over his coffin. Parker his parents and rebecca weren’t at the funeral. Booth is very self conscience expecially when it comes to body issues. I really cannot see him standing up in the bath in the nude infront of bones.Never once have we ever seen Booth smoke. I think Booth or someone was dreaming the whole episode. Does anyone know whether Eric Milligan has actually left the series.

  Again, I wasn’t trying to be mean. Apologies if that’s how it came off. But I think that the posts I was referring to are by an English speaking person who’s just using “netspeak.” I believe that’s what “u r” instead of “you are,” “y” instead of “why,” and “srry” instead of “sorry” are supposed to mean.

  I would think that persons of foreign speaking countries would have a more difficult time trying to figure out netspeak. I do, and I speak English! I guess that was the point I was trying to make. If it’s hard for me to understand, how is it going to be any easier for someone who doesn’t speak the language? And the poster I was referring to seems to speak English just fine.

  And as for the punctuation issue, I will consider myself thoroughly chastised… :)
