Hart Hanson Wants Us to Send Pencils (And He Even Mentioned THIS SITE in the Interview!!)
December 23, 2007 by Lynn
There are days when we get confirmation that what we are doing is making a difference. Those days more than make up for all the others that may be more frustrating.
Today, the folks at GotNews.TV sent me info about this interview with Hart Hanson (creator & writer for Bones) along with Eric Millegan, Emily Deschanel & Michaela Conlin talking about the WGA strike and what we as fans can do to support the writers and get the strike settled sooner.
Hart Hanson even tells everyone to visit Searching Bones for more details.
First of all, Thanks so much to Hart for the mention!! Secondly, here’s the information he wanted you to have so you could support the Bones writers:
Go to the pencils2mediamoguls site and sign up to send a box of pencils (It’s a painless $1 per box) to give them the message that we want them to get back at the bargaining table and work out a fair deal.
You can also write to the six media moguls listed on the site asking for them to be fair to the writers.
Remember, without the writers, there are no shows. Their strike has brought that clearly to everyone’s attention. (Thank goodness! Writing is so undervalued sometimes!) As Bones fans, we owe it to Hart and the other Bones writers to support their cause. And again, that’s my two cents…
bones, tv, Television, Emily Deschanel, Michaela Conlin, Eric Millegan, Hart Hanson, WGA Writers Strike

YEAH!!! pay our writers woo hoo
I’m happy and proud to say that I’ve just finished filling out everything to send the pencils to help support the writers and I’m planning on writing to FOX as well. My contributions aren’t much but anything to help. I’d be out there protesting with them if I didn’t live so far away!
Good Luck to them all!
I definitely support the writers and hope this gets resolved soon. Not just for the writers, but also for the actors who we can see here (and who rumors indicate) will go on strike immediately after. Hopefully if all goes well with the writers our actors won’t be on strike for too long!
I saw the vid from link on another website and when Hart said ’searchingbones.com’ I was like is he referring to the site I visit, wow. So congrats for the recognition, it must be great to know what you’re doing actually has turned up on their radar.
Keep up the good work
I definitely support the writers and hope this gets resolved soon too.
Nd that’s for the actors too, without the writesr, as Emily sad , they gotr no word.
Good luck to all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i really mean that!!!!!!!!
P.S-yesterday i sent out a pencil as Hart sad, hope it’s gonna go till there, i mean Albania is sooooooo fas away
I AM PART OF THE STRIKE !!!!!!!!!!!
haha was joking lols !!!!!!!!!!
I sent more pencils again!!!!
i want Bones back !!!!!!
wow. Hart Hanson knows about searchingbones :D. That is so cool! Keep up the pencil sending and letter writing everyone! Need Bones back
Hi OMG the pencil idea is a genius i wish i could have thought of i will send in a whole box of pencils. Oh i am your biggest fan but i am not the one who freaks ou tlike other fans. I was wondering if i could somehow come down and meet the cast of bones or how could i do that exactly. Thanks email me please.
how does paying for and sending a box of pencils somewhere help them get back to the bargaining table?
they get paid enough money to enjoy a very comfortable life. more so than most people do.
with that in mind, i’m not for or against a strike.
an actors strike would be different though. $100,000+ per episode is a ridiculous amount of money. they should be grateful even if they only got half that much.
regardless of how unfair it might seem, that’s the way life is. so with that in mind, my take on the writer strike is this; there is always someone willing to do your job for less money, so quit complaining.
omgosh. that is so cool he mentioned this site. i’ve done everything he said. i’ve even called. i want do more! PAY our writers!
